How we work

A delivery process a small studio can actually keep

We are a founder-led, remote-first studio in Nigeria. Our process is built around asynchronous-first communication, written documentation and staged delivery — designed to work reliably for Nigerian and international clients alike, without pretending to be a large agency.

The sequence

From first conversation to handover

  1. Qualification
  2. Discovery
  3. Workflow Map
  4. Scope & Proposal
  5. Agreement & Payment
  6. Build
  7. Testing
  8. Client Review
  9. Handover
  10. Ongoing Support (optional)
Our standard delivery sequence. Larger projects run the same sequence in phases; very small engagements may compress steps — the written scope always states which.

Stage by stage

What happens, and what you receive

1. Qualification — free fit assessment

A short call or questionnaire covering your problem, tools, expectations, timing and budget range. We confirm the project is a genuine match for our capabilities and our Halal-aligned standard. If it is not, we say so clearly — and where possible point you in a better direction.

Output: an honest go / no-go, on both sides.

2. Discovery — mapping reality

We map how enquiries, bookings or orders actually move through your business today: the channels, the tools, the people, the hand-offs, and the points where information is lost, duplicated or delayed.

Output: a current-state workflow map.

3. Scope & proposal — in writing, before money moves

A written scope covering the business problem, agreed outcome, deliverables, exclusions, your responsibilities, dependencies, timeline, review stages, revision limits, acceptance process, payment milestones, third-party costs and handover conditions.

Output: proposal + scope of work you can hold us to.

4. Agreement & initial payment

Terms are agreed and signed; the deposit or first milestone payment is made per the proposal. Work starts only when both are in place — this protects both sides.

Output: signed agreement, confirmed start date.

5. Build — in stages you can see

Implementation proceeds in agreed stages with written progress updates. You review work as it develops, not only at the end — surprises are expensive for everyone.

Output: working increments + weekly written updates.

6. Testing — before you rely on it

We test against realistic scenarios: valid and invalid inputs, failure states, mobile behaviour, and the specific workflows in scope. Defects found are recorded and resolved before handover.

Output: testing checklist with recorded results.

7. Client review & acceptance

You review the system against the agreed scope and confirm acceptance, or request changes within the agreed revision limits. Acceptance criteria were defined in the scope — not invented at the end.

Output: documented acceptance.

8. Handover — documented, owned by you

Documentation, access transfer and a working session for your team. You own your business data and the agreed custom deliverables, subject to the signed agreement and third-party licences; our pre-existing reusable components remain ours, as stated honestly in the agreement.

Output: handover checklist completed, documentation delivered.

9. Optional ongoing support

Suitable clients can continue with a Monthly Operations Partnership: maintenance, monitoring, optimisation and agreed improvements, with defined response expectations, inclusions, exclusions and a change-request process.

Output: a support arrangement you can plan around.

Communication standards

What you can realistically expect

  • Reference time zone: West Africa Time (WAT, UTC+1) — meeting times agreed in advance and converted to your local time
  • Asynchronous-first: written updates, documented decisions, an agreed project board
  • A weekly written project update while work is active
  • Normal business-day responses on the project channel — we do not promise instant replies or 24/7 human support
  • A defined escalation route for urgent project issues, agreed in the scope
  • Decisions and approvals recorded in writing, so nobody relies on memory

Your responsibilities

What we need from you

  • A single project owner empowered to approve and give feedback
  • Timely responses at review points — delays pause timelines fairly, as defined in the agreement
  • Access to the tools, accounts and information the scope requires, shared through secure channels (never plain-text passwords in chat)
  • Content and business inputs you are responsible for, provided on the agreed schedule
  • Honest constraints: budget, timing, internal capacity — early candour prevents late problems

Why this matters

Most failed projects fail on communication and undefined scope — not on technology. These standards exist so that a small studio can deliver reliably across time zones, and so you always know what is happening, what is next and who owns it.

Tools

A lightweight, low-cost toolset

We prefer free or affordable tools that match our capacity — and we record the selected toolset in each project's documentation. Typical categories: video calls and screen sharing, a shared project board, document storage and written updates, code collaboration with full history, design review, invoicing, and secure credential sharing. Specific tools are confirmed with you during onboarding so nothing depends on an account you cannot access.

Documentation & ownership

Scope, decisions, deliverables and handover are documented in writing. See Global Delivery for what you own.

Changes after handover

New work goes through a change-request process with scope, cost and timing agreed before implementation.

Project closure

At closure, access is reviewed and removed where agreed, and a closure checklist confirms what was delivered and what remains yours.

Questions

Common questions about working with us

Do you work with clients outside Nigeria?
Yes — we are remote-first and serve suitable businesses internationally, beginning with markets where we can demonstrate reliable acquisition, pricing, delivery and support. See the Global Delivery page for the practical details on time zones, communication and payments.
How do payments work?
Defined in the proposal before work starts: currency, schedule (deposit + final for small projects, milestones for larger ones), third-party costs, late-payment terms and cancellation conditions. We do not publish fixed prices until offer economics are validated — see the Pricing page for how quotations are scoped.
What if the project is not a fit?
The free assessment exists precisely to find that out early. If your problem needs capabilities we do not responsibly have, or the project falls outside our Halal-aligned standard, we decline clearly and professionally — and where possible suggest a better route.
Can you work with our existing tools?
Where practical and permitted by those tools' interfaces and terms, yes. Part of discovery is deciding what to integrate, what to replace and what to leave alone — we do not force migrations that serve nobody.
